1. Scope
This Policy applies to the Macroly mobile applications and related websites (the “Service”). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile: name/nickname, email, age, gender, height, weight, activity level, goals, health conditions, onboarding responses.
- Food logs & health data: logged foods (names, portions, calories, macros), weight logs, meal notes.
- User content: photos (camera or gallery) and textual descriptions you submit for AI parsing.
- Device & usage: device type, OS, app version, crash logs, IP address, push notification token, analytics events.
- Payment & subscription metadata: subscription status, receipts, purchase history via RevenueCat (we don't store full credit card numbers).
- Third‑party data: results or metadata from USDA / OpenFoodFacts when used to lookup items.
3. Sensitive health information
We process user-provided health-related information (weight, health conditions, goals). This is handled carefully; you provide this data voluntarily for use in the Service.
4. How we use your data
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Parse food descriptions and images to estimate nutrition
- Manage subscriptions and process billing
- Send transactional communications and support messages
- Analyze usage to improve features and detect abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
5. AI processing & third parties
- AI parsing provider (e.g., Zenmux): When you upload a photo or submit a meal description for AI parsing, we send the image (base64) and/or text to our AI provider to parse and estimate nutrition. This is necessary to deliver the Photo Recognition and Quick Add AI features.
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and purchases.
- Food databases: OpenFoodFacts / USDA used to look up nutrition metadata.
- Platform services: Expo (push notifications), App Store / Google Play billing flows. We may also use analytics/crash reporting providers.
Replace the provider names and links above with the specific vendors you use before publishing.
6. Sharing & disclosure
We only share data with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (AI, hosting, analytics, payments)
- Law enforcement or third parties when legally required
- Successors in connection with mergers/acquisitions (with notice)
We do not sell personal data.
7. Local storage & deletion
- Data is stored locally in SQLite on the user’s device by default.
- The app includes a Reset Data option (Profile → Reset Data) that wipes local data.
- To request data export or deletion across backups/central services (if applicable), contact: privacy@netronk.com.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA style)
- Access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability
- Withdraw consent where given
- California residents: request disclosure/opt-out of sale (we do not sell data). To exercise rights, contact privacy@netronk.com.
10. Children’s privacy
Not intended for children under [13/your jurisdiction age]. We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age. If you believe we have such data, contact us.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure.
12. International transfers
Data may be transferred to and stored in jurisdictions outside yours; we use appropriate safeguards.
13. Cookies & tracking
Our web pages may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analytics. Mobile SDKs may collect usage data.
14. Changes to this Policy
We’ll post updates and change the effective date. We will notify significant changes.
